BONO EAST: Techiman Traditional Council demands City Upgrade to reflect Regional Capital status

The Techiman Traditional Council led by the Paramount Chief Ɔseadeɛyɔ Akumfi Ameyaw IV has appealed to the Government to prioritize the upgrade of their City to fully reflect its status as the Bono East Regional capital.

According to Nana Owusu Gyare II, Akwamuhene and acting President of Techiman Traditional Council who spoke on behalf of the Omanhene, Techiman has vast lands and Nananom are ready to give them out for developmental projects therefore Government, Donors, Companies and individuals seeking for a peaceful, business friendly and geographically advantageous destination to invest are warmly welcomed to the Bono East Regional capital.

This appeal came when the Bono East Regional Minister Hon. Francis Owusu-Antwi and his Team of Technocrats and NDC Party Executives took the Regional Tour to the Techiman Techiman Ohene Ameyaw Palace to officially introduce himself, thank the People for the election victory and also share the Government’s vision with them.

In his response, Hon. Francis Owusu Antwi the Bono East Regional Minister assured the Traditional leaders that the Government is determined to tackle all pressing developmental needs of Techiman.

He outlined some projects earmarked for immediate execution to accelerate growth in the area expressing his gratitude for their support and pledged to work closely with Nananom for the progress of the Region.
