Former Vice President Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia who is seeking to become the flagbearer for the New Patriotic party for the second time has called on all sympathizers to forgive one another in order to get a more united front to recapture power from the NDC in the 2028 general elections.
Dr. Bawumia maintains that, he has proven himself as the most credible amongst the five (5) candidates and the surest bet to take the NPP into victory.
He said, every data after the 2024 general elections proves that, he wasn’t the reason why the NPP lost but as a result of apathy amongst party members who failed to vote therefore the need to reconcile and come out stronger in 2028.
He cautioned his followers to abstain from the campaign of insults and insinuations as all the NPP needs is togetherness to become successful in 2028 and everyone will be needed during the general electioneering.
He made all these known in Techiman on Saturday 18th October when he wrapped up his 4-day campaign tour of the Bono East Region where he enjoyed massive endorsements from NPP delegates from all eleven (11) constituencies.
For his part, Hon. Martin Adjei-Mensah Korsah the Member of Parliament for Techiman South Constituency who is the Bono East Regional Coordinator for the Bawumia Campaign Team pledged to deliver the majority of votes for the former Vice President in the whole country come 31st January, 2026 in NPP’s Flagbearer elections.
