BONO EAST: National School Feeding Coordinator pledges better services after Regional tour

Hajia Fati Forgor, National Coordinator for the School Feeding Program has reiterated the President John Mahama led-NDC government’s commitment to improve the policy to make school going more attractive and convenient to our children at the basic levels.

It is in this direction that the new NDC government after assuming office has increased the daily feeding fee from 1.50p to 2 cedis per child therefore Caterers are expected to improve the quality and quantity of food they prepare for our school Children.

Hajia Fati Forgor made these remarks in an interview with the Media when she paid an unannounced
visit to the Bono East Region to see for herself what is going on within the various districts as part of her efforts to ‘Reset’ the National School Feeding program.

Headmaster of St. Francis De Assisi Catholic School at Asantanso in the Techiman Municipality, Mr. Agyarko Ntim Kofi Charles expressed his gratitude to the National School Feeding Coordinator saying her unannounced visit will help put the Caterers on their toes in discharging their duties to improve the program.

Finally, Analifori Ayariga on behalf of Farmers at Asantanso commended the Government for his intention to purchase their local farm produce to prepare food for their children saying the school feeding program will benefit both Children and Parents.
