Bomoakpole gets new market

Mr. Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, Member of Parliament (MP) for Ellembelle has commissioned an GH?85,000 market shed for the people of Bomoakpole amidst dancing and drumming.

The market, which was started in 1994 by the townsfolk to ensure decency and hygiene in commercial activities, came to a standstill due to financial constraints.

Mr. Buah said it was prudent to use part of the MP’S common fund to better the lot of the people rather than to put the monies in his pocket for his selfish gains.

He also donated street bulbs to the town to ensure security during the night and pledged to extend electricity to other parts of the town.

Mr. Buah said he will continue to register students who did not pass English, Mathematics and Science in the West African Senior School Certificate Examination(WASSCE) to re-write the November/Decmber private examinations to improve education in the area.

He asked the people to assess the 3-year reign of the NDC and retain the party in power to continue the better Ghana agenda.

The Chief of Bomoakpole, Nana Minla Kpanyinli III, was full of praise for the MP and the DCE for bringing development to the doorsteps of the inhabitants.

He said a University project is to be established at Bomoakpole and appealed to Mr. Buah to lend the required support to make the dream a reality.

Nana Kppanyinli appealed to the MP to assist in the education of the children in the town and make them ready for the oil and gas industry. He appealed to the people to put aside their political differences and forge ahead in unity to spearhead development of the town.

Mr. Daniel K. Eshun, District Chief Executive (DCE) for the area, lauded the MP for his development drive and asked the people to rally behind him during the December elections.

He disclosed that a Junior High School block for the town will be ready by June 2013 and appealed to them to maintain peace during the elections.**
