Bomber Is Ghanaian!

Prosecutors in London say the true identity of the man bearing the name of Manfo Kweku Asiedu in the London Bombing incident has been established. Sumaila Abubakari, a Ghanaian who traveled to the UK under false identity is currently standing trial. The identity of the gentleman was made known by his own defense counsel during hearing at the Woolwich Crown Court in South East London on Tuesday.

The Ghanaian is among six people being held for the failed bomb attacks in London some two years ago. The disclosure in court effectively clears the family name of Ghana’s Deputy Inspector General of Police, Dr K.K Manfo whose son was originally linked to the bombing. The failed bomb attack came just two weeks after an earlier one which left some 52 people including a Ghanaian woman dead on July 7, 2005.
