Bolgatanga Polytechnic inaugurates ICT centre and SRC bus

Bolgatanga, June 8, GNA – The Bolgatanga Polytechnic (B Poly) on Wednesday inaugurated Information and Communication Technology (ICT) centre and a students’ bus. This was made possible through contributions from the students and staff of the institution.

Their efforts also fetched them 100 new sets of flat screen computers and 10 laptops for the lecturers, all at a cost of 128,000 Ghana cedis. Mr John Bosco Azigwe, Acting Rector of Bolgatanga Polytechnic, who inaugurated the facilities, said the ICT centre, computers and the bus woul= d help ensure effective teaching, learning, free movement and research among students and lecturers.

It would also help to fulfil its vision to be a centre of academic and professional excellence, employing state of the art technology for teaching= , learning, research and community service.

He said in order to achieve its mission of providing career focused an= d skill-based education, training and research, they had to hold regular consultation with stakeholders to pool synergy in running the institution. Mr Azigwe called on the students and staff to continue with the good work and deliver to fulfil the vision and mission of the institution and avoid the social vices bedevilling other institutions. He appealed to the lecturers, staff and students to make good use of the facilities and ensure proper maintenance of the facilities.
