Bolga Assembly/NADMO gives to Flood Victims

Bolgatanga (UE), Jan. 6, GNA – The Bolgatanga

Municipal Assembly in collaboration with the National Disaster

Management Organization (NADMO) at the weekend donated

about 53 packets of roofing sheets valued at GH¢10,000 to flood

victims in the Bolgatanga Municipality and the Bongo district.

The flood victims numbering about 30 households who suffered

the wrath of the rains early this year were identified from Yorogo,

in the Bongo District and Zaare, Sumbrungu, Gambibgo and Tanzui

all in the Bolgatanga Municipality.

Mr Edward Ayagle, Municipal Chief Executive, noted that even

though the donation would not solve all the problems of the flood

victims, it would help reduce the stress they have undergone and

cushion them to continue with their lives.
