Bole NPP Chairman threatens to burn down Nkilgi FM

The Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for Bole Bamboi Zakaria Sulemana has threatened that supporters of the party will burn down Bole-based Nkilgi FM.

This follows unprintable words allegedly used on the Presidential nominee of NPP Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo by a communicator of National Democratic Congress (NDC) Eric Poore during an NDC paid programme dubbed “JM Tanchiso (JM Continue)” on the station yesterday.

Mr Poore is reported to have described Nana Addo as ‘irresponsible for living in his father’s house at age 72’.

Mr Sulemana who was enthused with the statement threatened to deal ruthlessly with Poore.

The General Manager of Nkilgi FM Mahama Haruna said they will take measures to protect the station now that intention of NPP is made known.

According to him, the station has no control over comments by NDC members on the show because it is a paid show.

He added that there is a similar programme on a sister station in the area where unprintable words are said about the president John Dramani Mahama.
