Body of naval rating found

Accra, Sept. 25, GNA – The body of Leading Seaman Paul Dongyiri, the Naval Rating who drowned while trying to save the life of a holiday swimmer last Monday, has been found, a statement issued by the Ghana Armed Forces said in Accra on Friday. The statement signed by Lieutenant Commander M.A. Larbi for the Director of the Ghana Armed Forces Public Relations Directorate, said the body was seen at about 1600 hours on Thursday along the beach at Osu Kaajanor by some residents. It said the Ghana Navy and family of the Naval Rating had identified the body which had since been deposited at the 37 Military Hospital. The Ghana Armed Forces thanked the residents along the Osu beach and all those who helped in diverse ways to recover the body of the late Leading Seaman Dongyiri.
