Body of Immigration Officer found in tank

The lifeless body of a male officer of the Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) was on Saturday morning found in an underground tank at a (GIS) rented house at Dzodze in the Ketu-North District, where he resided.

The body of Prosper Sedziafa 30, Assistant Control Officer at Akanu, a border post near Dzodze, was said to have been found floating in the tank in the morning.

Police sources said the body has been deposited at the Dzodze Saint Anthony’s Hospital morgue.

Mr Akwasi Asafo-Adjei, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) in charge of the Dzodze District, said it was too early to make any comment on the circumstances of the incident as strenuous investigations had only just commenced.
