Body found in abandoned school block

Hohoe, Sept 16, GNA – The body of a man suspected to be about 60 years old had been found in an abandoned School Block at Akpafu-Mempeasem, in the Hohoe district, in an advance stage of decomposition.

Mr Daniel Ablodey, Hohoe District Police Commander who briefed the Ghana News Agency said the Assemblyman for the area; Mr Andrews Asase Nkansah reported the discovery to the Police last Friday, September 7. He said the badly decomposed body, beyond recognition, which was in a supine position was found in the abandoned Amoah’s Preparatory School, at the outskirts of Mempeasem, had been sent to the Hohoe District hospital morgue for autopsy.

Mr Ablodey said no arrest had been made but appealed to the public especially residents around the area to volunteer information to the Police.
