Boateng unwell, leaves on Wednesday night

Mr Paul Boateng, Chief Secretary to the Treasury of the United Kingdom leaves for South Africa on Wednesday, after a visit to Ghana that was disrupted by illness.

A statement from the British High Commission on Wednesday said Mr Boateng was forced to cancel some events on his programme on medical advice.

“The Right Honourable Boateng has been unwell and on medical advice was forced to cancel some elements of his programme here,” the statement said.

Mr Boateng was on an official visit during, which he called on President John Agyekum Kufuor and met some government officials.
