Board for Awutu-Effutu-Senya Mutual Health Scheme inaugurated

Winneba (C/R) Feb. 14 GNA-A-13-member Board of Directors for the Awutu-Effutu-Senya District Mutual Health Insurance Scheme has been inaugurated at Winneba.

The Board, which has Mr Kwei Tagoe, a retired Banker as its Chairman has other representatives from the District Assembly, Social Welfare and Community Development, Ghana Health Service, traditional rulers and religious groups.

In his inaugural address, the District Chief Executive, Captain Steve Kwamena Armah (RTD) urged the members to ensure the successful operation and sustainability of the scheme.

“Your selection as the governing body of the scheme was based on the trust we have in you as well as your rich experience, diligence and upright nature.”

The Presiding Member of the District Assembly, Mr Kwesi Esseku asked members of the assembly to organize their localities to patronise the scheme.

Mr Tagoe pledged the commitment of the Board to work harder to ensure the smooth implementation of the scheme.
