Boakye Addae re-elected PM for Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Assembly

Bibiani (W/R), Dec. 28, GNA – The Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai District Assembly has re-elected Mr John Boakye Addae, as its presiding member for a two-year term.

This is the third consecutive time Mr Addae has been elected as the presiding member of the Assembly. Mr Addae, who was the sole contestant, polled 39 votes as against three in the election, supervised by the district Electoral Commission at Bibiani.

In a brief acceptance speech, Mr Addae thanked the assembly members for the confidence reposed in him to run another term.

He called on them to give him the usual co-operation and assistance to enable him performed his assignment creditably.

Mr Christopher Addae, the outgoing District Chief Executive and Member of Parliament-elect for the area, expressed gratitude to the assembly for their support, encouragement and prayers during his tenure of office and urged them to extend the same to his successor and the presiding members.
