A 36-year-old block layer who is accused of defiling a 13-year-old girl at Hydraform Estate, near Spintex was on Wednesday remanded into Police custody by an Accra Circuit Court.
Piu Felix Nyaho charged with defilement has pleaded not guilty.
Nyaho is expected to reappear on October 24 before the court presided over by Mr Aboagye Tandoh.
Prosecuting Inspector Judith Asante said the complainant is the Aunty of the victim. The victim resides with her Aunty at Hydraform Estate, Spintex.
According to Inspector Asante, the accused person works for the complainant at Hydraform Estate but reside at Dome in Accra.
On September 14 this year, prosecution said the victim told the complainant that whilst she was away Nyaho had sex with her.
Prosecution said on September 15, this year, complainant informed the Police and the accused was arrested.
According to prosecution, Nyaho in his caution statement admitted the offence.
