Blay addresses supporters at Nkroful and Asasetre

Nkroful (W/R), Dec 20, GNA – Mr Freddie Blay, the Member of Parliament for Ellembelle, was given a rousing welcome at Nkroful and Asasetre when he visited the towns over the weekend to thank the people for re-electing him.

A large number of people clad in CPP colours sang, drummed and danced and led him to address mini-rallies in the two towns.

Mr Blay expressed his appreciation to the electorate for re-electing him and pledged to work hard and ensure that social amenities are improved in the constituency.

He said his victory could not have been possible without their full participation and keen interest in the electoral process.

Mr Blay, the Second Deputy Speaker of Parliament, urged his constituents to patronise and register for the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS).

”It is the best scheme that has been introduced to replace cash and carry and also makes health care readily accessible and affordable to all.”

Mr Blay assured his supporters that he would liase with other stakeholders to ensure that the development of the area is accelerated. Mr. Joseph B. Aidoo, the Western Regional Minister, said the re-election of President John A. Kufuor and Mr. Blay demonstrated the confidence the people have in them.

He appealed to them not to incite their opponents with abusive language or insinuations since such acts could result in conflicts.
