Blame mob attacks on ‘recalcitrant’ church members – Pastor

Various men of God in the country are doing their best to educate their members against instant justice in the country, the Chairman of Christ Apostolic Church International, Apostle Dr S.K Amoani, has said.

He, however, noted that most of the members have turned a deaf ear to such sensitisation

His comments follow the lynching of Major Maxwell Mahama by some irate youth of Denkyira Obuasi in the Central Region as well as other instant justice cases reported in some parts of the country.

Apostle Amoani, speaking at the El-Wak Sports Stadium during the fun games organised for the Christ Apostolic Church International’s Children’s Ministry as part of activities to commemorate the church’s centenary celebrations, said: “The religious leaders are doing everything humanly possible to change behaviours and characters among people, but recalcitrance has been an impediment to this vision of the religious leaders.”

He denied assertions that men of God were to blame for failing to educate their members on the need to eschew instant justice.

He prayed that the security agencies would arrest all persons engaged in mob actions, especially the case involving Major Mahama.
