Black Stars Earn CAF Awards Nomination for National Team of the Year

Ghana’s senior national team, the Black Stars, have been nominated for the CAF National Team of the Year award following an impressive run in international competitions.

The four-time African champions are shortlisted alongside continental heavyweights Egypt, Morocco, and South Africa for the prestigious honour at the upcoming 2025 CAF Awards.

The nomination comes as recognition of Ghana’s recent resurgence on the African stage, highlighted by their qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup and a renewed sense of unity and purpose under their current technical team.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) is expected to announce the winners at a ceremony later this year, celebrating excellence across all levels of African football.

For Ghana, the nomination serves as a major boost to the Black Stars’ confidence as they continue preparations for the upcoming world cup in 2026.
