Black Princesses Beat Benin 2-0 In WAFU B U20 Girls Cup Campaign

Ghana’s Black Princesses secured a confident 2-0 victory over Benin in their WAFU B U20 Girls Cup at the S.O. Adjohoun Stadium today.

The Ghanaian side made their intentions clear early on, taking the lead in the 14th minute through Sarah Nyarko, who finished off a well-worked attacking move to calm the nerves and set the tone for the afternoon.

Ghana maintained control throughout the first half, keeping Benin under pressure and heading into the break with a deserved 1-0 advantage.

After the restart, the Princesses continued to dominate, making key substitutions to maintain the tempo. Mary Amponsah replaced Ivy in the 66th minute, adding fresh energy to the midfield.

The decisive moment came in added time when Latifa Musah sealed the win, calmly slotting home Ghana’s second goal in the 91st minute to put the game beyond Benin’s reach.

The 2-0 win marks a strong start for the Black Princesses, who are aiming to lift the regional title and strengthen their dominance in women’s youth football in West Africa.
