Accra, April 17, GNA – Bishop Dag Heward-Mills, Presiding Bishop of
Lighthouse Chapel International, on Sunday urged Christians to have faith in God. He said 93This is the only means by which they would receive their re= quests
and blessings from Him.” Bishop Heward-Mills made the call when preaching at this year’s Palm Sunday
celebration in the Church, on the theme 93Faith that Works by Love”. It is celebrated by Christians world-wide to commemorate the triumphant entry
of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem before his crucifixion on Good Friday which marks
the Easter celebrations. He called on Christians to desist from listening to messages that had negative
impact on their lives as people were mostly influenced by what they hear. “Faith comes by hearing and whatever we hear, whether good or bad ha= s a
tremendous influence on our thinking and lives,” he explained. Bishop Heward-Mills extolled the faithfulness of God and called on Christians
to eschew social vices, be patient and long suffering as God would in no wa= y
disappoint them. “You cannot believe in God for great things when you are impatient a= nd
indulge in social vices against your fellow man,” he said.
