Akim Achiase (E/R), May 7, GNA – The Birim South District Assembly, Zoomlion Ghana Limited and the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), have jointly organized a day’s clean-up exercise at Akim Achiase. The participants weeded along the streets, cleared choked gutters and swept open places.
Addressing the volunteers, the District Chief Executive (DCE), Nana Baffour Mensah-Takyi, commended them for their self-help spirit. He said the exercise would be a regular feature and extended to the communities in the district.
The DCE advised the people of Achiase to clean their surroundings periodically to minimize the outbreak of communicable diseases.
