Akim Oda (E/R), Dec. 5, GNA – Mr Jon Appia Baffoe, Birim Central Municipal Officer of the Electoral Commission (EC) on Friday, told the Ghana News Agency at Akim Oda in the Eastern Region, that everything is set for the December 7 general elections. He was speaking in an interview with the GNA, when he visited the Oda EC coalition centre to see the progress preparations made for the upcoming presidential and parliamentary elections. The Municipal Officer said all ballot materials needed to ensure smooth, fair and transparent polls in the two constituencies on Sunday were ready.
The two constituencies are Akim Swedru and Akim Oda. According to him, all party-agents were present at the coalition centre to help “put things together” and commended them for their commitment to the electoral process as well as their co-operation with the EC. Mr Baffoe entreated all registered voters to exercise their franchise on Sunday and cautioned that, they should not confusion at the centres. At the time the GNA visited the centre, the EC officials were busily sorting out the ballot materials. 05 Dec. 08
