Bimbilla Naaâ??s ruling: Police ban motorbikes

The Police have placed a ban on the use of motorbikes in Bimbilla in the Nanumba North District of the Northern region following a ruling on the protracted chieftaincy dispute in the area.

The Bimbila Chief Naa Dasana Andani was murdered by unknown assailants in June compelling the Interior Ministry to impose a curfew on the town.

The judicial committee of the Ashanti regional House of Chiefs Wednesday ruled that the late chief is the legitimate king, giving the Andani faction the right to go ahead to enskin the next chief.

This dispute has sparked violent clashes between the two factions in the past.

Mohammed Alhassan, counsel for the Andani Family told Starr News after the ruling that it has now been proven that the late Bimbilla Naa Dasana was legitimately nominated and enskined.
