Biemso No.1 (Ash), Oct. 22, GNA- Citizens of Biemso No.1 in the Ahafo-Ano South District resident in Canada and the United States have contributed about 90 million cedis towards development projects in the town.

The projects include the construction of a 15 million-cedi toilet facility, a three-classroom block at the cost of 60 million cedis and the provision of 28 electric bulbs purchased at the cost of 15 million cedis for the town’s streetlights.

Mr Owusu Afriyie, leader of the Biemso Number One citizens abroad, who briefed the Ghana News Agency (GNA) on Tuesday said they realised that as citizens, they needed to contribute towards the development of the town.

He said he would continue to mobilise citizens of the town resident abroad who had not yet joined their fold to do so and develop the area. Mr Kwabena Peprah, the assemblyman for the area, commended the citizens for their support and said they were greatly relieved by the construction of the toilet.
