Bible College gives honourary doctorate degrees

Nkawkaw, Sept. 6, GNA – The Yaweh Bible College, at Nkawkaw and Anyinam in the Eastern Region, had given honourary doctorate degrees in the humanities and divinity to some distinguished personalities for their contribution to the development of society.

The beneficiaries received certificates and academic gowns at the first ordination of some pastors at the College.

They included Mr Raphael Kofi Ahaligah, Member of Parliament for Afram Plains South, Osabarima Agyare Tenadu II, Chief of Akyem Kadeand, Osabarima Kwame Tia, chief of Akyem Adasawase and Apostle George Osei Kwame, Principal of the College.

The others were Reverend Anthony Amankwaa of the Cross Over Chapel, Rev. Stephen Nkum, a lecturer at the College, Alexander Oheneba Kissi, News Editor of Oboaba FM, Kwaku Kyeremateng Nkansah, a morning show presenter also of Oboaba FM and lecturer at the College and Mr George Padmore Apraku of Peace FM Radio.

The rest were Mr Yaw Sarpong, a gospel musician, Mr Seth Boafo, Chief Executive Officer of Boafo Company and Joseph Nana Arthur.

Mr Yaw Adom Atiamo, Mr Banabas Asare and Mr George Ofosu Mensah, who had completed a two-year certificate in pastoral training at the Bible College were ordained as pastors.

Rev Dr Nii Kcorney, President of the Calvary Round Theological Seminary Council of Bible Colleges, advised the new pastors to accept God’s call and live exemplary lives to win more souls for Christ.

He expressed worry that even though some pastors were genuinely propagating the gospel a few “bad nuts” were indulging in immorality such as rape and fraud.

Rev Kcorney advised pastors to be righteous faithful to God and their congregation.

Archbishop Anthony Joseph, Primate of the Yahweh Bible College of Ghana, said asked recipients of the degrees to continue to towards the development of society
