Bibiani (W/R), July 26, GNA- The Bibiani-Ahwiaso-Bekwai District Assembly on Monday confirmed Mr Kingsley Adjei Manu as the District Chief Executive.
He polled 40 out of the 42 votes cast at the polls conducted by the Electoral Commission (EC). Mr Adjei Manu expressed gratitude to the President for the honour done him by nominating him for the post and the assembly members for the confidence reposed in him.
He mentioned education as his priority under his administration and called for massive support from the chiefs, heads of department and the assembly members to ensure the rapid development of the area. Mrs Sophia Horner-Sam, Deputy Western Regional Minister, thanked the assembly members for the maturity they exhibited during the election under a peaceful atmosphere and called for support for the DCE.
