Benevolent society rehabilitates KATH theatre

Kumasi, June 4, GNA- Asanteman Kuo, a benevolent society of Asante citizens resident in the Hague, Holland, has rehabilitated the main theatre of the Komfo Anokye Teaching hospital (KATH) at a cost of 180 million cedis.

The waiting room of the surgical unit has been converted into a recovery ward.

Speaking during an inspection of the rehabilitated theatre and recovery ward, Mr James Baddeu the hospital engineer said the completion of the rehabilitation work took six weeks to complete. Mr Baddeu stressed the need for Non-Governmental Organisation (NGOs) to complement the efforts of government efforts to upgrade facilities at the Teaching Hospital.
