Awutu-Beraku (C/R), May 1, GNA – The chairman of Awutu Emasa Rural Bank, Mr Abraham K. Larbie, has asked beneficiary of government credit schemes to undertake viable economic projects towards poverty reduction. He was speaking at a meeting at which the bank disbursed more than 40 million cedis to some women in the area, including food producers, petty traders, fishmongers and petty traders at Awutu-Beraku under the government’s poverty reduction scheme.
Mr Larbie commended government for supporting business-oriented women in the rural communities to enable them to contribute effectively to national development.
Mr John Kofi Anomah, Supervising Manager of the bank, advised beneficiaries of the bank’s financial assistance to ensure judicious utilisation of the loans.
He said the bank was helping to improve the lives of the people in its catchment area.
Mr Anomah further advised beneficiaries of loans to repay them promptly to enable other people benefit from the package.
