Belgium Asante Akyem Kroye Kuo donates to Juaso District Hospital

Juaso (Ash), July 15, GNA – The Juaso District Hospital in the Asante Akim South District has taken delivery of hospital equipment worth 10,000 Euros.

Some citizens of Asante Akim, based in Belgium, known as Asante Akyem Kroye Kuo presented the equipment which included ECG machines for heart check, oxygen concentrators and bed side stools.

Mr Emmanuel Adu Amankwaah, a representative of the group on Sunday said at a short ceremony to present the equipment that the gesture was the group’s widow’s mite towards the development of the hospital. He said as a hospital which served the entire district and beyond, there was the need for it to be well-equipped to provide the needed quality health care for the people.

He observed that the group placed premium on the welfare of the people of Asante Akim hence the donation and urged the authorities of the hospital to put the facilities to good use.

Dr Ahmed Habib, Medical Superintendent of the Hospital who received the equipment commended the group for its high sense of patriotism, adding that the equipment would boost the services of the hospital. He urged other philanthropists and well-meaning citizens to emulate the gesture to improve the facilities of the hospital. 15 July 08
