Begoro notorious armed robbery gang robs traders

The gang of armed robbers terrorizing residents in Fanteakwa district in the Eastern region on Thursday night struck again.

The AK47 wielding armed robbers believed to be Fulani herdsmen mounted blockage on Ahiamankyene to Begoro road and succeeded in robbing passengers mostly traders.

They robbers are said to have fled with huge sums of monies and personal belongings of its victim, it however took swift intervention by the Begoro police to salvage the situation.

The notorious gang has in recent times attacked several people including the convoy of the DCE, some NDC executives and recently mourners, with traders being the worst victims.

Since the robbers started their criminal operation in the past few years, at least a life has been lost while scores have sustained gunshots.
