BECE Begins in the Hohoe District

Hohoe, April 24, GNA – The Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) started on Monday with 2,751 candidates sitting for their papers in the Hohoe District. Mr John Hobenu, the Hohoe District Director of Education, said 15 centres are being used for the weeklong examination with 97 invigilators, 15 supervisors and six assistant supervisors. He advised candidates to go strictly by the rules and regulations set by the West African Examination Council (WEAC) and to avoid hooliganism at their schools and centres. At the St Theresa’s College Centre, a female candidate out of the 350 candidates was absent Ms Nana Cecilia Ama Dusi, the supervisor, said she was pregnant.
