BECE begins in Ho smoothly

Ho, Apr. 21, GNA-This year’s Basic Education Certificate Examinations (BECE) has begun in the Ho Municipality smoothly with no reported case of irregularities.

Most centres in the Municipality commenced the one-week examination on a good note and on time.

When the GNA visited some centres in the Ho township at 0830 hours, all supervisors and invigilators had reported on time and were seen in the process of conducting the Examinations.

At the OLA Secondary School only a boy was reported absent out of the 617 students writing the examinations.

Mr. Godwin Adzimah, a supervisor in-charge of centre “B” said students at his centre had so far appeared to be disciplined and expressed the hope that the exercise would be peaceful and successful. At Mawuli School, Centre “A”, Mr Atitsogbui Philip-Solo, officer in-charge of the centre said one girl out of the 676 candidates for the two centres, said to be pregnant failed to report for the examinations. All candidates taking the examinations at Mawuko Girls Senior High School were present and the centre had no irregularity.
