Be appreciative of God’s grace on your lives-Soldiers told

Ho, April 20, GNA – Lieutenant Colonel Emmanuel Kotia, Commanding Officer of 66 Artillery Regiment in Ho on Sunday advised the personnel to let love and unity bind them together for its development. He asked them to be righteous in their endeavour and pray for God’s guidance to respect and defend the nation’s sovereignty.

Lt-Col. Kotia gave the advice at a thanksgiving service to climax activities marking the 42nd Anniversary celebrations of the Regiment at Ho.

He pointed out that the Regiment was a partner in national development and had assisted many communities to improve their living standards.

These included construction of libraries, school blocks, water reservoirs, community centres and communal labour in some communities. Lt-Col. Kotia said the Regiment was now focusing on afforestation programmes to enhance the environment and called for the support of stakeholders.

Pastor Evans Vincent Hiadzi, General Overseer of Hall of Strength Ministries in a sermon urged soldiers to appreciate the blessing of God for their lives.

He noted that for their survival at peacekeeping missions they should continue to give praise and thanks to God. Mr Mawutor Goh, Ho Municipal Chief Executive commended the personnel for their assistance to the assembly to ensure socio-economic development of the people.

He commended the personnel for the image of the Regiment and pledged the commitment of the assembly to collaborate with it for their mutual benefit.
