Bawumia’s criticism of Circle Interchange partisan – Kwakye Ofosu

Deputy Communications Minister Felix Kwakye Ofosu says the Vice Presidential candidate of the opposition New Patriotic Party(NPP) Dr. Muhamadu Bawumia is only playing out a partisan motive by seeking to downplay the newly constructed Kwame Nkrumah Interchange.

“There is no dispute that it’s a major piece of infrastructure that would significantly address one of the frustrating bottlenecks in the transportation system of the capital city of Accra,” he said.

Speaking on Joy FM’s news analysis program Newsfile Saturday he stated that the significance of the interchange in the transportation system within the capital is enormous, saying that it will be the basis for the NDC in getting re-elected.

His comments follow Bawumia’s criticism that government is deceiving Ghanaians with an interchange in spite of its poor performance in managing the economy.

Speaking to students at the St. John Bosco College of Education in Navrongo in the Upper East Region on Thursday, Dr Muhamadu Bawumia said one interchange is not enough for the NDC to celebrate on in view of the huge resources they inherited.
