Bawumia promises stress-free Hajj

Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has assured Muslims that this year’s pilgrimage to Mecca will be free of stress and challenges.

“This year, we have made some arrangements to curb the challenges of pilgrims. We have put in place measures to curb the challenges. This time, you will be fed for three days when you get to Mecca and transportation will be provided to the Ka’bah while you are in Mecca,” he said.

Dr Bawumia said this at the Sunyani Central Mosque where he joined hundreds of Muslims to pray as part of his Ramadan tour.

The tour started from Kintampo through Techiman and ended in Sunyani.

He also called for prayers and support for the government to be able to deliver on its campaign promises for the development of the country.

Dr Bawumia reiterated government’s commitment to the Zongo Development Fund which he said would improve the lives of the people.
