Bawumia did not tender 11, 842 pink sheets to the court – Tsatsu

Counsel for the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), Tsatsu Tsikata, has asserted in court on Thursday May 9, 2013 that the petitioners challenging the 2012 presidential election results did not submit 11,842 pink sheets to the court as they have always insisted.

Tsatsu Tsikata, has therefore, prayed the court to allow a head count audit of all the pink sheets to ascertain the number of pink sheets submitted to the court to execute its case.

Mr. Tsikata insisted that the pink sheets tendered in evidence at the court registrar’s office fell far short of the 11,842 pink sheets.

The Lead Counsel for the Petitioners, Philip Addison, strongly objected to Mr. Tsikata’s application for a head count of the pink sheets.

He insisted they submitted that exact number to the court registry and also added that it was incumbent upon the respondents to have rectified the alleged shortfall in the number of pink sheets earlier when they noticed the discrepancy rather than wait until now to use it to their advantage.

Lead counsel for the president and the electoral commission supported Mr. Tsikata’s application for a head count of the pink sheets.
