Zebilla (U/E), Dec 18, GNA- The Bawku West District in the Upper East region is to establish Sister-links with Bloomington, Illinois, in the United States.
Mr. Kwabena Adjei Antwi of Peak Marketing and Business Consultants, facilitators of the concept, announced this at the third ordinary session of the District Assembly at Zebilla.
Mr. Antwi said when the arrangement is finalised the district will have the opportunity to host institutions, officials and students from Bloomington under a cultural exchange programme.
He said the sister link idea is also meant to attract investors, promote tourism and cultural exchange.
Mr Antwi said Bawku East would be linked with Rock Fort also in the US, while the Bolgatanga and Navrongo districts are yet to find partners.
