Bawku Naba to ban churches over false prophecies

The paramount chief of the Bawku traditional area, Naba Asigri Abugragoe Azoka II, has threatened to ban churches in the area following the increasing rate of false prophets and men of God on the lives of his subjects.

Naba Azoka in a statement to the churches in Bawku noted that the misleading and fake prophecies is causing a lot of harm in the area.

He added that because of the lies of some of the men of God, families are constantly in conflict and causing separation.

“These pastors come to form churches in this area and engage the community members in prayers and what they call deliverance services, then they prophesy about their lives and end up labeling some family members of their church members wizards or witches,” he said.

He also added that on a daily basis cases are brought to his council to be resolve. Naba Azoka noted that such prophecies usually turned out to be false and pitched family members against one another ending up destroying close relatives who had lived together all their lives in peace.
