Bawku Central NPP elects executives

Bawku (U/E), Dec 15, GNA – The Bawku Central constituency of the New Patriotic Party (NNP) has elected a 46-year-old UK-based businessman, Mr Abdul-Malik Imoro Salifu, as its chairman to steer the party’s affairs for the next four years. The elections were, however, boycotted by the incumbent executive members. The election was organised by the municipal electoral officer and supervised by a three-man regional delegation led the chairman, Alhaji Bawa Musah.

Mr Bukari Nuhu Bansi was elected First Vice Chairman and Alhaji Fuseini Issaka, Second Vice Chairperson. Other persons elected were Mr Issah Zangbeogo, Secretary, Alhaji Haruna Yakubu, Assistant Secretary and Anaba Isaac Hakeem Treasurer. The rest were Nasiru Osman, Organiser, Nasiru Delwine, Youth Organiser and Hajia Azara Bachinkare, Women’s Organiser. Alhaji Musah, who swore the new executives into office, cautioned them against the tendency to sideline the former executives and said they needed to consult them. Mr Imoro Salifu thanked the delegates for electing them and promised to bring all members on board to ensure the party was once more united.
