Bawjiase Releases Land To Police

Awutu Bawjiase, Sept 3, The chiefs and elders of Awutu Bawjiase in the Central region have released a five-acre plot to the government to construct a police station. Nai Kofi Aworabi, the regent, said the free offer of the plot is aimed at saving money currently being spent on rented premises. Nai Aworabi was addressing the people of the area at a durbar to round off their annual Ewubia festival. Mr Ben Bedzinah, Agona Swedru Divisional Commander of the Ghana Police Service, thanked the chiefs and elders for their gesture. He asked them to cooperate with his men to ensure continued peace and stability in the area.
