Bawjiase Police cries for accommodation

Awutu-Bawjiase (C/R), April 4, GNA- Inspector S.B. Kwaw, in charge of the Awutu-Bawjiase Police Station, has appealed to the District Assembly to provide accommodation facilities to police personnel in the area, to enhance their commitment to duty. He made the appeal when he interacted with members of the Awutu Youth Club at Awutu-Bawjiase.

Inspector Kwaw said lack of permanent abode for the police had persisted since the station was established 25 years ago. Mr Isaac Yaw Otabil, President of the Awutu-Bawjiase Youth Club, assured the personnel that the club would take up the issue with the traditional authorities.

He said the people of the town could not afford to lose police security, which had made great impact on crime control.
