Basic schools in Bawku get computers

Bawku, Sept. 27, GNA – Fifteen laptop computers including some accessories and school uniforms have been presented to some basic schools in the Bawku Municipality and its environs.

The Municipal Chief Executive, Mr. Musah Abduliah, presented the items to the schools at a short ceremony at the Binduri Junior High School at Binduri near Bawku.

The Deputy Upper East Regional Minister Mrs. Lucy Awini, called on parents to see education as a tool for development and invest in their children’s education.

She appealed to the community members to complement the government’s efforts to develop the area by enrolling their children in school.

Naaba Azembey Anobila, Divisional Chief for the Kaadi Traditional Area, appealed to parents to collaborate with the education authorities in order to ensure effective supervision in the schools.
