Barclays Bank support Winneba Government Hospital

Winneba, Nov. 24, GNA – Management and staff of the Winneba branch of Barclays Bank Ghana Limited, have organised a two- hour clean- up exercise at Winneba Government Hospital. They also offered refreshment to the patients and donated sanitary equipment to the Children’s Ward. Three management staff, Ms Judith Ocansey, Branch Manager, Sterlington Horsoo, Manager (Operations) and Ms Pamela Pardie, also donated blood to the hospital.

Ms Ocansey said cleanliness is next to Godliness hence the need to assist in tidying up the hospital.

She said the exercise formed part of annual community participation project adopted by the staff of the bank to render voluntary services to people in the catchment areas of the financial entity. Ms Ocansey said the bank as its social responsibilities re-painted the basket ball pitch of the University of Education, Winneba last year. She said the bank offered advice to women groups, students and business executives on how to adopt sound financial management to ensure the growth of their businesses.

Mrs Rosaline Afreh, Staff Nurse at the Children’s Ward expressed appreciation to the bank for the exercise. She appealed to other corporate bodies to emulate the shinning example by coming to the aid of the hospital.
