Baptist Congress Begins In Kumasi

The 6th National Congress of the Ghana Baptist Men’s Fellowship, has begun in Kumasi. It is under the them: “United Men’s Fellowship, tool for Development”. The three-day Congress if being attended by over 300 delegates form various parts of the country. There are observers from Nigeria. The National President, Col. Samuel Bamfo called on Churches to form vocation and trade development Committees to tap the potentials of the youth, while at the same time facilitating the transfer of technology and talents that abound in the Churches for national development. He also asked Churches to respond positively to the challenges posed by the growing unemployment situation in the country. Col. Bamfo deplored the recent incidents of religious violence and called for unity and understanding among churches. The President of the Nigerian Men’s Missionary Union, Mr. N.B. Oyalade, urged Christians to respect authority and avoid acts likely to bring Christianity into disrepute. gri
