Bantama NPP MP not to seek re-election

Kumasi, March 7, GNA – Madam Cecilia Abena Dapaah, New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) for Bantama, has announced her decision not to seek re-election.

She said having served two consecutive four-year term of office, she felt it was time to give way to others.

“I am not seeking re-election but will always avail myself to the party to help to prosecute the grand agenda of the NPP to come back to power in 2012,” she said.

This was contained in a statement she issued in Kumasi on Monday. She thanked the chiefs, youth, women and all those, who gave her their unflinching support, to contribute towards the development of the Bantama Constituency. The statement further expressed gratitude and appreciation to the NPP leaders, both national and regional.
