Bantama NDC elects Alhaji Napoh

Kumasi, Aug 30, GNA- The National Democratic Congress (NDC) at Bantama has elected Alhaji Alhasan Napoh, 47, an assembly member, as its parliamentary candidate for the December polls.

His election was by acclamation at the party’s delegates’ congress held on Sunday at Abrepo in Kumasi.

Alhaji Napoh, who is also the Deputy Ashanti Regional Youth Organiser of the party, in his acceptance speech, called for total commitment, hard work and sacrifice from the party’s followers in the constituency to enable him to wrestle the seat from the NPP. He said he had no doubt that Bantama would fall to the NDC. He told the delegates to go from house-to-house with the NDC campaign message to help broaden its support base.

“Let us reach out to the people and once we help them to understand us, they are likely to give us their votes”.

Alhaji Napoh advised members of the party to show a high sense of political maturity and refuse to be drawn into what he termed “the politics of insults and mudslinging”.
