Banned NGO Appeals To President

A Teshie based NGO, Christian AID Mission (CAM) has appealed to President Kufuor to initiate a probe into the actions that led to the withdrawal of Ghana AIDS Commission audit report on the NGO?s account and the subsequent blacklisting of the CAM for undertaking any future GAC contracts.

This was contained in a petition signed by Mr. Seth A. Tagoe, the founder of the NGO to President Kufuor.

He also appealed to the President to use his good offices to cause a review of Ghana AIDS Commission?s decision to terminate a sub-project awarded to Christian AIDS Commission and blacklisted the NGO for any future GAC contracts.

He accused Mr. Eddie Akita, MP for Ledzokuku and Deputy Minister of Agriculture of masterminding the charges levelled against the NGO, and also the GAC for covering the MP.
