Jachie (Ash), July 9, GNA- Mr Simon Osei-Mensah, a 43-year-old banker from Jachie on Thursday won the Bosomtwe constituency New Patriotic Party (NPP) primaries at Jachie.

He polled 35 votes out of the 87 votes cast to beat three other contestants.

Mr Kwadwo Addai Boamah, his closest challenger, got 32 votes while Mr Peter Akwasi Abebrese and Dr William Yeboah polled 12 and eight votes respectively.

Speaking after his election, Mr Osei-Mensah said his victory was for the NPP and democracy and not for himself and pledged to work hard to win the seat in the December polls.
