Bank Manager steals Ghc77K from accounts of dead clients

Police in the Eastern Region are on the heels of the Deputy Managing Director of the Atiwa Rural Bank at Koforidua for stealing from the accounts of dead customers.

Daniel Antwi Bosiako has allegedly withdrawn up to Ghc 77,000 from the accounts of deceased clients .

Mr. Antwi Bosiako illegally withdrew various sums from inactive accounts in about ten branches, Starr News’ Eastern regional correspondent Kojo Ansah has reported.

He absconded after the family of a deceased customer notified the bank about the illegal withdrawals from his accounts.

The Eastern regional Police PRO ASP Nketia Yeboah has confirmed to Starr News investigations have already commenced into the matter.

Meanwhile, Starr News has learnt that a Koforidua Circuit Court has issued a bench warrant for the arrest of the suspect.
