Banda youth pleads for assistance to retrieve items

Kumasi, Feb 8, GNA – Members of the Banda Saase Youth Association has appealed to the authorities of the Tain District Assembly to help them to retrieve building materials supplied in support of the implementation of development projects in the community but which have been hijacked by some members of the Unit Committee. A statement signed by Mr Adam Moro Banda, the Chairman, said these items, donated by the assembly three years ago in response to an appeal mad= e by the association could not be traced. “All attempts at getting the committee to account for them had failed and therefore it has become necessary to ask for the assembly’s intervention,” it said. The building materials, the statements said, are needed to support the implementation of the community’s development projects and could not be allowed to be diverted. The association appealed to the assembly to assist in the construction of a public place of convenience for the town and the rehabilitation of the main road leading to the town as well as the completion of an electrification project.
